SAMPLES OF MY WORK

MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS

A press release I wrote for a hospital foundation, marking a significant investment from a donor.

Another press release marking a special donation to a local hospital, followed by the news story here.

I successfully pitched this news story about addressing mental health challenges during a global pandemic.

A press release I wrote for digital distribution following a first-ever funding investment from the Government of Canada for ovarian cancer research led by Ovarian Cancer Canada, a national patient-support and advocacy organization.

As a PR manager with the leading Canadian NGO and international development agency, Plan Canada, I led a communications and PR campaign to support the call for an investment of $400 million by the Government of Canada for maternal, newborn and child health projects overseas. This included the successful publication of an op-ed in the Globe and Mail, arguing the need for this investment.

ANNUAL AND IMPACT REPORTS

I managed, wrote, and edited content for annual reports to stakeholders and donors of Ovarian Cancer Canada, a national patient-support and advocacy organization: 2018-2019 annual report  and 2019-2020 annual report.

While working with the editorial team at John Wiley and Sons Publishing, I oversaw the production and publication of over 10 business and professional trade books.
