A press release I wrote for digital distribution following a first-ever funding investment from the Government of Canada for ovarian cancer research led by Ovarian Cancer Canada, a national patient-support and advocacy organization.
As a PR manager with the leading Canadian NGO and international development agency, Plan Canada, I led a communications and PR campaign to support the call for an investment of $400 million by the Government of Canada for maternal, newborn and child health projects overseas. This included the successful publication of an op-ed in the Globe and Mail, arguing the need for this investment.
ANNUAL AND IMPACT REPORTS
I managed, wrote, and edited content for annual reports to stakeholders and donors of Ovarian Cancer Canada, a national patient-support and advocacy organization: 2018-2019 annual report and 2019-2020 annual report.
BOOK EDITING AND PUBLISHING
While working with the editorial team at John Wiley and Sons Publishing, I oversaw the production and publication of over 10 business and professional trade books. This included copyediting and/or overseeing the copyediting and proofreading of various raw manuscripts and also managing content development, design, and layout. Published books include:
